Anyone here into taking pictures with compact film cameras? Post your photos, experiences and gear-faggotry here.
Just bought pic related and I can't wait to try it out.
After all, if you have a good lens and full manual control, what more do you need?

got this a few months back, starting to use it now weather is getting colder it can stay in my coat pocket fulltime.
Got a few rolls but no pictures developed yet though maybe it's actually complete shit

if you like zone focusing and old ass electronics go for it stay away from garbage yashica electro compacts and petri fully autos with those stuck shutters. if I want compact pocketable I go for an Olympus mejew 3.5 or a any Canon p&s beater. but those rollei 35s or a demi/or Pen half frame look pretty cool.

Having a camera always on you for real is pretty based.
I like the Minox 35 kind the best, they fold flat and can be forgotten in any jacket pocket, hell they even fit in a shirt pocket.

It's 135, there's better versions with shutter and aperture controls which I'd go for given the choice. It's actually fine build quality though - sturdy for dropping.

this is my go-to. Carl Zeiss T* lens which is pretty fast for a compact, good ergonomics, good auto exposure and focus, and it even has a WLF on the top.

I bought a Kodak Retina 1a earlier this year and have been really enjoying the compactness of it.
Its easily one of the most compact 50mm setups you can buy.

I will post some pictures I have taken with it

XA3 probably. Basically the same as the XA2 but a closer minimum focusing distance and accepts ASA1600 film (which is a pretty huge deal if you’re zone focusing).

Retinas are great. Unfortunately with the later models which are actually reliable and robust enough and have enormous bright viewfinders / rangefinders do sacrifice a bit of their compactness.
