If you started shooting in 2017, just put the last three years. Not hard.

Going through the pics to put in this thing. God damn I'm getting feels. This decade went by so fast. Spent the first half as a pretty happy teenager and then wasted 2014 through 2018 being a shitty depressed doomer. Completely missed out on life for so long doing fucking nothing. I was supposed to express myself through photography but instead I used it to escape reality and I ended up taking hundreds of shitty pictures. I'll post mine in a bit when I get my old HDD fired up.

Can anyone else relate?

I bought my first "real" camera in 2012, but didn't get images in really like until 2013 onward. I think more people have been here for years, but it's Christmas and so the board is dead for that reason. Will post later but I'm gonna bump this now anyways.

I sometimes tell people it saved my life, because it was something I had when I felt pretty abandoned and unwanted by almost everyone. I see nothing wrong with that. It sounds cliche but /fit/ says things like "the iron will always be there"; I feel the same about cameras and photography. It's not gonna cheat on me or dump me because I'm not good enough, it's not gonna stop talking to me because it got closer to other friends and the group and stopped inviting me to things etc. I'm in a better place socially and mentally to this day, but that is still that.
