i will gift my grandparents a photobook this christmas. printed them at a fuji printing station in a drugstore and the quality is pretty decent. did 20x15 cm prints btw.
here they are, critique welcomed.

high iso (for mft) adds actually character to this because of the grain imo.

i dunno how to put it OP all these pictures show at least one type of "beginner compositional technique" you read in the books but the final product feels like a series of cookie cutter snapshits.

Like applying rule of thirds when it's not necessary, not knowing when to crop, using HDR to make a properly-exposed snapshit, etc. etc. There's just no soul to them, they're all very forgettable.

These somewhat work. The rest is very random and shows lack of skill. For macro, look at light first, look at composition, then shoot. You've a lot of room there, you can swing cam around like crazy, and don't be afraid of just using lcd screen to look for compositions. You're better at arhitecture, but look up how perspective changes when you tilt lens up, and look up some perspective corrections tutorials.
