>>3595066Poppet, I don't think ambush is photoshopping photos of himself, and we know ambush is the biggest gear queer on the board, it's what middle aged men do when they get divorced and lose the kids, he's not going to be using cs6.
And why would I cry about someone having an astro setup? As I explained to him, which I think he's now grasping, those speakers are fuji finepix tier consumer junk, sold via the power of marketing and limited options. The consumer speaker industry is almost as inbred and overpriced as the specs/sunglasses market. A good 90%+ of speakers that cost between $50 and $3000 are all designed by one company in Germany, and all use parts from one of 3 Chinese factories. Eltax, celestion, denon, mission, teac, etc. Is All the same shit. If ambush learns a little from this all, then I'll be happy for him, and I think he'll be very happy with his new speakers.
On that same note and those photos, I built my own bike ;) not that I can really use it anymore, but i look forward to donating it to my niece when she's old enough.
I love being able to build stuff for 10% of what it would cost retail. Building stuff is fun and rewarding, and it's even better when you get something desirable at the end, or you get something that just isn't available. Yesterday I made a new stand for my surface book laptops to hold them vertically on my desk, allowing me to use them as 3rd/4th monitors if I need.
The only thing you can build is discontent from your family about how much you've wasted your life, they thought you might get your first ever job when you took an interest in photography, but 15 years later, and $thousands in gear bought on credit cards, you're still no closer to even leaving home.
