As for the other cameras, constantly trying to sell the same DSLRs as much bigger Canikon for less money instead of trying different things like Fuji or Olympus is what left Pentax without a R&D and lens development budget and constantly on the brink of bankruptcy. (And I don't even know what were they thinking with their mirrorless stuff. "Let's make mirrorless cameras without the key advantages of mirrorless cameras! Twice!")
