I took a photo at a photography studio opening event where models/photographers could shoot the space for free and he put it on the business Instagram and it has the most likes out of anything else he has posted. I may have gotten a small handful of followers from it and 1 year later he is closing shop.

Got some stuff up on 1x years ago, they've got plenty of hits, 27000 on the one, but that just doesn't mean anything. My sister uploaded a dog picture of mine tumblr, last I looked it was around 140k but it generated like, 3 hits on my website a month. Online stuff is kind of pointless unless it substantive (reviews and actual write ups).

Some of the shows I've had solo or have been in have started winning awards and getting reviews. You get better exposure that way than stuff online.

I displayed a large format print of a work in an exhibition for 10 days, there were thousands of people who saw it nationally. It was a holiday photo of a figure in cross position manipulated to seem as though they were floating in a big pond of their own gore missing their torso and top of the head - visually believable abstract horror (it was actually tomatoes). It was paired with some relevant sculpture and other photographs & drawings, but this was the centrepiece.

I wanted to make it because the scene here is stuffy, meaningless, twee, overly supportive. I removed the catharsis of a photograph people expect to see with those qualities, numbly enjoy and quickly forget.

I had every reaction imaginable and it was glorious. Everything from: old women telling my peers they must go home after seeing it; parents grabbing their kids and shielding their eyes (kids love to stare); all the way to many people who got a meaningful affect from it, some even calling it 'iconic'. I couldn't have asked for more - too many exhibitions are full of people wandering bored out their mind. To be standing between extremes is the best one can ask for.

I had hundreds of business cards with this printed on on it and I ran out very quickly. Big win, more exciting things are still to come.

I was going back home after work the day the riots began in my country. I took this photo and uploaded it immediately on Twitter via WiFi.

That tweet reached ~300 likes / 150 RTs and was used on a few online news sites.

It is not even a good photo but hey, i took it at the right time.

My most circulated pic got picked up by the AP in 2017 for a just post verdict in an assisted suicide trial that made world headlines in thousands of newspapers and magazines. It got so much recognition it was featured in the AP top 10 pictures of the week. I did win an award for it. (No money alas) But it gave me huge bragging rights. I just found out tonight I'm up for two more awards for stuff I shot in 2019. Life is good.

I climbed a mountain last summer in Sweden, to take a photo of this old shitty tree.

I come to the area in the middle of the night and a thunderstorm is raging, I wait it out and start climbing the mountain. Now its dark and wet.
When I reach the summit I smell smoke in the air, Probably just a forest fire after the thunderstorm. Find the fucking ugly tree, Old Tjikko (The worlds oldest tree) Google it

What I know this might be the only sunrise photo of the tree

It's located in Fulufjället Darlarna not far from Njupeskär waterfall.

Its a shitty image, I had just bought my first camera that year.

the exact location was hidden from the public for years, because the risk of some tard cutting it down. i found the cordinates to the tree on a swedish hiking forum, the tree is quite a way from any path that you can follow in the dark.

but, i found another picture of this tree during sunrise and its better then mine by far
