>>3618615EVFs suck. Which is why every year we hear about the major improvements in some camera's new/improved EVF even though last year mirrorless fans told us EVFs were 'just as good' as OVFs. If that had been true there wouldn't be any improvements left. Note that EVFs don't suck so much that you can't compose a photograph. You can. But they still suck.
Mirrorless subject tracking can be uncanny but DSLRs still dominate acquisition and tracking speed IF you can keep an AF pt on target. For newbies that's hard. For old fags that's 2nd nature, and even cheap old 2nd hand DSLRs (or film SLRs) are competitive here.
Mirrorless batteries suck.
Mirrorless is still behind on weather sealing and robustness. Nothing on the market is as robust as a 1D series body or even a 5D series body, or Nikon's Dx series.
Mirrorless bodies are awkward with large lenses. The R and Z series aren't too bad but still not on the level of a 1D, 5D, or Dx series.
You state the advantages of mirrorless are "obvious" but they seem to boil down to:
* Exposure preview (a legit EVF advantage to weigh against its disadvantages).
* AI subject tracking.
* Light weight.
* Lens adaptability if you're into that.
Given these two sets of advantages there are still plenty of people who do/would want a DSLR. Add to the DSLR list that there are lots of excellent 2nd hand bodies on the market.
