Probably just how you're framing against the mountains, maybe you should look at the waterline, you can always just crop it back to level like pic related.

Turn on grid lines and use the the lcd as opppsed to viewfinder. Alternatively, if your camera has a level feature you can turn it on and make adjustments before shooting. Anyway, not a big problem. Just level it in post.

kek, you caught me, I reduced the luminescence of Blue which created those richer hues, I used a graduated filter in LR to edit the background, basically just upped the clarity and contrast. I also Split Toned with different colors, and lastly I rotated the image to align the sea with guides. All in LR.

Another I've found is facing the subject at an angle instead of straight on. A good example of this is if you were to stand diagonally across from a building, and set one of the building's horizontal lines to one of your horizontal gridlines. All the other horizontals will be crooked except the one you lined up. Or you line up one of the building's verticals with your vertical line. I actually dont remember the exact way to do it, but it's a result of not facing it straight on.

Just look at the amount of tilted horizons in videos and movies.
People are blind to that.
