>>3620133>You literally just posted a photo>where the canon file had no color NR>but the fuji photo didI have to back track now because it doesn't look like Fuji bakes color NR into the camera RAWs. It looks like DPReview forgot to turn it off in the Fuji review.
Screenshot of three frames from PS.
Fuji: no sharpening, no LNR, 30% CNR
Fuji: no sharpening, no LNR, 0% CNR
Canon: no sharpening, no LNR, 30% CNR
The Fuji file had levels set to match the Canon file's brightness and saturation was set +15%. Otherwise both files are at default profiles/color temp/color tint/etc settings.
* With no CNR Fuji shows lots and lots of color noise. All your bitching about Canon color noise and bragging about lack of Fuji color noise...GONE. Fuji is no better here than anyone else. They're not even baking it into the RAW. DPReview just forgot the check a setting. Or maybe they changed their standard between reviews since in camera JPEG engines apply CNR and most RAW converters have it on by default out of the box. Most people never see color noise even at very high ISOs.
* Fuji colors are not inherently different. The Fuji file in this test simply has lower brightness (slightly lower ISO sensitivity than rated?) and lower saturation. Once equalized the colors are remarkably similar despite the different default 'as shot' color temps and tints and Adobe Standard profile vs Fuji Provia profile.
Welp, there's your superior sensor. There's your Fuji magic. There's the power of Fujirino!
Note to Fuji fans who are not gear faggots: I'm not knocking Fuji. They make great cameras. I'm just taking a brandfaggot and spanking him behind the shed for being a brandfaggot.
