I’ve been taking photos for 20 years/seriously for the last 5 and last night I came to the realization I have maybe 4 photos I actually like. Should I just sell my gear or am I going through some sort of phase?

yeah that happens when you dont do anything with your photos, happened to me on december.
just do this , start checking everything, print some of the photo you like. Just small prints, then just keep checking your stuff until you find similar shots or thing that you can pair
start forming a collection , dont panic

Lol I love Russians so much. Thanks ruskibro. I’m not looking for money out of this though. It was always something I enjoyed doing then I got a job that actually allowed me to buy a camera and I really started to love doing it just for me.

I started reading and learning more and wanted to get better but only for me. I don’t care about IG likes (I don’t promote, hashtag or comment on shit) or praise from others (which I’ve gotten and felt was unwarranted).

I just want to get to a place where my hobby is satisfying me. I guess I need to just keep shooting and getting better. I loved learning new stuff and that initial “high” of nailing a cool shot.
