Canon 5D detected, it's a common issue with them when they age. It's a loose cable internally, the back of the camera is one plate and it's removable. The bottom plate comes off and then you can remove it's a fairly easy fix, I had to do it on both of my old 5Ds.

That's a little bit weird.

Some Anon told me 5 years ago the reason why Canon didn't use flippy lcd screen on those models was because the flippy screen was less durable and thefixed screen was sooooo much more stable.

There's some truth to that too but the 5D was notorious for that.

Drop the bottom plate you'll need a jewelers screwdriver. After that, the back plate comes off, if I remember the screws for it are under the rubber grips. It's pretty straightforward. The ribbon cable for the LCD I believe is on the bottom of the LCD and you should be able to power it up with the covers off so you can test it.

The 5D is built like a brick shithouse but that was 15 years ago.

This actually happened with the first 5D I bought several years ago. But it happened within keh's return period, so I had them swap it out for one without that problem.
