Anybody on /p using flickr?
How the fuck do i block this second life digital art bullshit?
Every single hashtag i can search related to women or anything to do with summer is just flooded with second life screenshots.

Also are there any alternatives to flickr if i want to see artistic photos of girls?

Also we all agree that screenshots from video games are not photography right?

Screenshots aren't, but if you have a game with a photo mode, it definitely can be.

there are multiple people on the flickr forums complaining about it.
Although unfortunately all there threads get raided by the second life posters claiming there screenshots are photos and that it requires alot of skill to make them.

This is what they mean when they say flickr is dead. It really is a shame too because it seems to be one of the few websites that better caters actual photographers, not influencers and advertisers.

Generally, yeah.
Sometimes you can take nice screenshots in games that are photo-like and if you crank up the resolution you can get nice scenery shots or often times great character portraits but it's still not true photography. For a site like Flickr it should be outright banned or quarantined somehow, requiring "Screenshot" as a tag or your account gets perma banned.

Flickr is for photography. Not 3D renders. In-game "photography" can be artistic, but in the end it's still just 3D rendered CGI.

Yeah, like 70% of the groups I'm in haven't had discussion posts since 2015. That seems like the year when things really just died completely.
I even found groups where people are still adding pictures every day but the mods haven't even posted a picture since 2007 (and I doubt they have logged in since then either).

Both Flickr and 500px allow you to create galleries, 500px lets you search them but Flickr doesn't.
Maybe we should do a general thread to share or own curated galleries or something.

Screenshitters defending their craft wouldn't know what do do with an actual camera if their life depended on it.

Assuming the camera simulation is sufficiently faithful, it takes the exact same amount of skill to get a good photo in a game as it does in real life. Extra bonus points if the game landscape is procedurally generated, a la No Man's Sky or similar.

You still have to pay attention to light, framing, composition, etc. If the camera simulation allows it, focal length, exposure, and focus.

Should game shots like that be grouped along with "real" photography? No, probably not, because I think we can all agree that there is a difference, even if it's just gut level emotional difference. But can it be classified as a *type* of photography? Definitely.

Yes. You can add someones picture to a gallery by using the "Add to gallery" link in pic related.

I have used Flickr since 2005 and I don't think I've ever seen a second life screenshot.

A couple of suggestions:
1. Find some groups that focus on whatever types of women you're interested in. Flickr doesn't censor if you have classified your pictures right. If you take a picture of your dick and post it, you better have classified it as restricted. And the viewer can select if they are willing to see restricted or if they just want to see "safe" pictures.

I have my account set so I can see everything. So I see the occasional dick pic (yawn). But then I also see a lot of beautiful women and some hard core stuff.

I just searched for "nude women" and saw a LOT of pictures of, well, nude women. There were a few screen shots, but not many.

I just searched for "blowjob" and saw a LOT of pictures of blowjobs, with the occasional screenshot.

So I don't think you're searching correctly. Or you're whining too much.

Flickr is (and I'm biased), the best photosharing service out there. No censorship, no advertising if you're willing to shell out the money, they don't compress your pictures when you post, you can organize them into an infinite amount of albums, the search ability is not based on single hashtags but on a boolean type search of multiple key words, etc.

The only reason I use IG and FB is that it's another audience for my pictures AND there are a lot of poor, sad, ignorant folk who just don't understand how cool Flickr is.

Flickr is all about Sycophancy, it's not about quality or art. Take for example pic related that was posted yesterday, it has 1000FAVS and 7500 views within a day, on flickr that is a huge volume to get, this photo also wasn't Explored either. So why is it a top trending photo? Sycophancy rules flickr. You could go to flickr and shoot a photograph that is a modern Carvaggio, it will not get traction as that place is all about jacking each other off endlessly. You cannot say anything against the crowd or you'll be ostracized. There is no alternative either. Insta is about cheating and prostitution, photography is morally bankrupt, like the rest of this stinking civilization. The best thing that could happen now is if the planet is hit by a huge fucking rock.
