>>3661130I'm actually surprised it took this long for the mirrorless defense force to appear. Everything you said is true, I'm just reporting on what I see on set every day. Maybe a switch will happen eventually, but for now the shit that works, works. Some of the people I work with have been doing this stuff for decades, and it's just not worth it to upend a whole camera system without a significant advantage for doing so. Again, I can only speak for the sets I've been on, but I've yet to see something other than FF Canon and Nikon.
>>There is no workflow advantage in processing RAW either. This might really trigger some people, but they're often not even shooting in RAW, fine jpgs are more than enough to get the job done. These images will never see print, they're immediately going online for people to beat off to. Obviously it has to look good, but time and workflow also has to be considered. RAW is another step in an already busy workflow.
>>3661043I work mainstream too, but the adult work pays better right now and I get a lot more of it. My adult contacts know about my mainstream work, but my mainstream circles have no idea. I don't care because a gig is a gig to me, but people are pretty fucking prude.
>>3661205Honestly I wonder this myself, regular porn has never done it for me cause the lighting and setup has never remotely resembled any real life hookup I've ever been in. I think it's a sort of chicken and egg of people expect it to look like that, so it gets produced to look like that.
