Not OP, but you can get pretty decent macro with reverse lens trick. Depending on lens, even greater magnification than OP

True that. I only got my reverse mounting adapter because it came with a cheap petri mf3. That picture is pretty neat. What is it showing?

Insides of a flower.

I also have one other macro shoot, but it is done in different way. I got some cheapo extension tubes with vintage lens. I picekd wide angle lens close to my eye and moved back and forward until dirt on optical viefinder was in focus.
