28mm is brilliant. i used to have a 18-200 but i was unhappy with the minimum aperture of f3.5 (really bad for night photography). i purchased a used 30mm sigma with f1.4 and it is just great for shooting everything, from landscapes to portraits

28mm is equiv to 42.5mm on full frame, which is a God tier focal length

It makes up for the awful 3:2 ratio a bit but you don't get the full experience until you shoot square

It's a shit 16:9. You're missing out on all the best parts of wide lenses and getting telephoto looks at 50mm. Square or 4x5 are the best until you get to panoramic cameras. 4:3 gets honorable mention.

1) professionals such as myself only shoot prime
2) zoom lenses are for noobs

it's the same FL as most phone, so basically anything.

I personally don't like it. I prefer 35 and 50mm.

Losing the 4x5 ratio was the thing I missed the most when I sold my Mamiya RZ67. It's such a comfortable format to work with.
