I just can't figure out what the fuck my camera does different when I set it to nightmode rather than when I manually switch everything. In particular when using flash for some reason the nightmode images hardly have any reflection while using normal settings everything is lit up. I tried to perfectly mimic all the settings nightmode has such as shutter speed, iso, dynamic range, even set the exposure down but nothing I do comes even close to the results nightmode dial gives me.

Is it possible to manually mimic nightmode on cameras? I understand it's different per brand but I feel extremely limited not being able to mimic the nightmode myself.
