Why are there so few photography genres being created?
I follow music and there is a ton of microgenres and people constantly starting new trends. It makes it easy to find artists and its also interesting to explore new genres.
In photography its like somebody in the 1950s banned any new genre from being created from that point on.
People are still going out and taking the same old landscapes in the exact same genre they were 20 years ago, people are still walking around the street shooting homeless people in black and white.
People are still out there taking the exact same photos of birds from 20 years ago.
It cant be social media's fault because music has the same issue and keeps creating genres.
Do i just suck at finding new genres of photography? what are some cool genres of photography created in the last 10 years /p?
Surely not every single person with a camera is a drone and some of them are actually creating original new things?
