Its about time that Nikon came out with something which actually breaks the mould. They have been tinkering with the same DSLR concepts, popping out occasional crop sensor camera, small improvements here and there with sensors, but nothing special. I want them to finally start selling affordable Full frame cameras, like the D600 and the 610, except with 40+ megapixel sensors instead of mid twenties. It would up the challenge for Canon to follow suit at little extra cost to them and a massive experience improvement for photographers. Then we could see high end cameras going over the 50mp and maybe increasing in size to accommodate bigger glass.

Theres no real motivation to upgrade from cameras that are touching 8 years old at the moment. Fuji certainly has nothing to offer. Their sensors are horrible and their colour rendition is sickly.

Damn I thought I'm the only one. Used to like Ken and I usually join him in his livestreams. Even jokingly asked him if he was a flat earther and he laughs it off. Jason was jailed recently but it wasn't related to the models he molested. He's recently gone on these "rowrow fight fa power!" tirades and protests because coronalockdown is killing his photo business. He was part of a protest with others who argued their amendment rights were being trampled on by the govt who gave the order to shelter in place

This turned into an AP thread not a fuji thread. Fuji is fucking awesome and it hardly makes a difference being APSC vs FF. Satisfying dials, rugged, quality build. My lenses were made in Japan (newer ones may be Taiwan or something).

There's probably a correlation between people who say (X camera/sensor size is bad) and how bad their pictures are. You have absolute units of photographers saying things like "The 5Dm4 has great dynamic range." It's a great camera, but its DR is notoriously bad. Just shows that actual photographers care more about image and story and can actually be misled on the technical side of things that matter infinitely less.

This. As a Fuji shooter, Fuji turned the APS-C sensor into new heights. Capable of reaching ISO 12800 with little amount of noise. MFturds can't even compare to our sensor.

You're in no position to to talk, with FF I worry about sensor size much less as I know that if I hit noise limits with my fast lenses, no amount of gear fagging would have saved the shot.

I guess if you never see the limits of your gear, you either don't care about missed shots or you rarely use your camera, and that's ok, not everyone has to care about what they do :)

Yet a simple browse of Fuji rumors are full of Fuji fanboys are drooling about the specs of a new medium format from Fuji. Also Fuji XT4 is top tier full specifications.

If there's an Apple in the camera world it's either Leica or Olympus. Look how closely they look. And no Fuji isn't overpriced. A Fuji XT30 and Nikon Z50 is almost the same specs and price wise. Then comes the EM5 III with teeny sensor with a higher priced tag.

Those are paid shills. I think most people shooting MFT in general, and Oly specifically, are using older models from when they were the only game in town with 5 stop IBIS and cheap video. Prices have historically been lower and speedboosting vintage lenses was a major draw for a while. It also had software features other mirrorless cameras only recently included across the range. It's a luxury compact but the apple tax price premium isn't there.

Thank you very much. Trying to learn to shoot not just in Auto mode so I understand how F Stop, shutter speed, iso and exposure comp actually effect the final outcome. A lot of people are saying it isn't even worth shooting in RAW anymore since the Fuji jpg compression is fine even if you need to touch up in capture one or lightroom. Not sure if I am going to or not yet.
