50/50. Street photography is meant to convey a story, and being artsy fartsy can interfere with that. Done well it can enhance it.

Its okay to be artsy fartsy with whatever you want, as long as it makes you happy shooting photos.
If you seriously get annoyed by how other people take pictures, maybe you should go out more and shoot yourself and focus on your own pictures.

(Also, vignette is not artsy fartsy, just another tool in the toolbox to guide a viewers eye)
(Also, black and white is not artsy fartsy, it is just taking out the color of the scene putting more emphasis on other things in the scene)

Kinda gotta disagree if we're talking about specifically world famous architecture or world famous landscapes.

Because even in the example you should with the Eiffel tower there are literally hundreds of thousands of pictures like the one on the right, say what you want about the one on the left but at least it's unique.

You know in hindsight, this is kinda ass-backwards.

Your subject doesn't dictate what is evoked by seeing the photo. It is the way you frame and capture the subject that dictates what is should be evoked from the photo.

Also, whatever, take photos how you want to take them not because it has to be taken a certain way. Nothing wrong with playing and experimenting in photography.

Color grading is fine as long as you don't entirely change the lighting of the picture and just use it to bring out the original mood, I'd say post-process that adds extra elements to the picture like vignetting or blurring is unnecessary and is used as a crutch to try to create action in boring or badly composed shots and is particularly grating in animal shots, I've seen entire portfolios with nothing but B&W shots of zoo lions sleeping because the photographer doesn't have the patience or skill to capture more interesting scenes.

Just because a photographer is bad, or at least their photo is, doesn't mean any and all attempts to be "artsy" are bad. Some of them are downright incredible, and your restrictive view of what can and cannot be done is harmful to the art form, so shove it up your ugly ass.

There's thousands upon thousands shots of the eiffel tower from the exact same angle as the picture on the right. The one on the left is a bit gimmicky but at least it's interesting.

Black and white makes sense when lighting is the core aspect of the photo and you want to give full attention to light and dark, you're just using it randomly because it's easier to make grayscale look cohesive without trying.
