Hello everybody. It's been a while. October 2020 will mark my first year of shooting. Still a lot to learn. It's been hard but fun.

I will post some portraits and "street" photography here. Hope you enjoy.

The thing is, what you're producing is approaching glamour photographs. There is a limited expectation that you will reduce blemishes and remove stray hairs and distracting shape shifts. You've got a lot of stray hairs, dark patches under eyes, mottled skin and arm hair in what are supposed to be flattering shots. Your models are striking poses to show off their form, and you arent doing anything to promote their beauty.

Also, elbows. Never front and centre.

Especially for a year of photog you are doing a good OP, apart from some details that you still overlook.
The postures are good, next you should make sure that skin and clothes are not unfavorably wrinkled. You may also want to think already in more detail where your framing, focus and contrast/light set the accent.
This applies to the portraits.

The other photos are simply boring. What do you want to show? Answer this and try to make it clear in an exaggerated way so that every viewer understands.

No i didnt, I worked for two galleries and a museum organising exhibitions. I also organised tours for deaf and blind children. Is that beyond your realm of belief? Or are you going to continue that sad old line that you think I was a "janitor".

I need to reverse engineer this lut. I have this lut that makes the skin really nice and saves me a lot of time but also does unwanted stuff to clothes, so I have to mask shit out. Barely on this one. That girl skin was the smoothest Ive ever seen. The raw is practically the same picture.
I usually do some heavy lifting because I like girls with unattainable beauty but this one really didnt need it.

I took the liberty of editing one of your portraits. Your photos are easily recognizable, and they all irk me a bit. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but i think they are a bit flat and underexposed. Hope you'll like my edit, i'm by no means an expert, just made some changes i learned how to do so far. And another tip, i heard that it's not good if too much of the whites of the eye are showing, just something to keep in mind.

My man I like your shots and your models, save up for a Sony with eye autofocus. I know why you bought one, I have one too. But c'mon even the a6300 has eye autofocus, and its probably the most important feature of the camera imo.

This. But also the A7M2 has shit autofocus. Continious AF and burst mode will cause it to lose focus for whatever reason. Even an used A7R2 has better focusing capabilities, and eye AF. Best one is the A9 but very few people actually need that capability--I want it for that juicy 20 fps burst mode, wireless tethering, fast AF, and good ergonomics.

There's a big difference between "smoothing the skin" and editing out unflattering things while still keeping skin texture.

Do this and you don't have to worry about a "smooth look" because the detail will be there.
