>>3679312>How do you think photography will evolve into the coming years? Sensors will probably keep getting better, so will battery life.
Maybe FF will be largely be replaced by APS-C with faster lenses/speedboosters.
>>will smartphones largely replace cameras?Nope, at least not for photographers.
For snapshits they allready did that.
>> most brands die out and survive by partnerships with smartphone developers? Not at all, allthough some brands failiure to innovate has and will result in them going bankrupt.
>> photography as a medium of storytelling dies out?Lol, nope.
Photography and videography are here to stay.
Both go hand in hand.
>What is your opinion /p/??I think it is about time that fast primes especialy designed for APS-C come down in price.
Something like a 35 mm f/1.4 or even f/1 for mirrorless APS-C isn't that complicates of a lens.
And due to the relatively small lens elements, it could make use of mass produced plastic aspheres or CNC-ground glass elements.
And then there are zoom-lenses that could also benefit from such lens elementy.
Take for example the standard kit lens focal length range of about 18-55 or thereabout for APS-C.
If it was a constant aperture of f/2 or f/2.8, that would be awesome.
