Im in the process of filming a short video with a panasonic fz300, and upon editing have noticed that the audio is shit, how can i fix this with $300?

buy microphones and recorders you can place where you need them to sound good, lav mics are very cheap and you can even use a phone to record them
pro tip: the camera isn't usually in one of the spots where it sounds good

I'm looking to add some audio recordings of just ambient nature sounds to videos to add more immersion.

What sort of audio recorder should I be looking for? Zoom? Tascam? What sort of specifications should I keep an eye for?

I have a budget of about $150

I'm in the market for a shotgun mic and a lav mic, is chode videomic go still a good option for the price and what budget lav mic is considered a hood option, last one I had was by Aputure and it was alright but sounded a bit too crisp if I can explain it that way.

put mic close to talent, not camera. buying a mic stand and putting a mic just out of shot is way better than a shotgun sitting on top of the camera
