To answer OP's question. Yes it's safe. Yes it's in the Metadata unless you update your torrent every fucking year. It's not difficult but you might not have the torrent cracked immediately. Mine is from 2017 lel. Works perfectly fine. Assuming you have your little snitch on all the time and no wifi when you edit you're fine. However, if you have the cash just fucking pay it. Adobe found out about my fake software and offered me $10 a month for both PS and LR. Can't beat that deal man. Just... DO IT.

100€ for ps+lightroom is pretty cheap, compared to the 800€ you had to pay for CS6 back then. And yearly upgrades were about 250€.

Never had any issues. Works for all my friends as well.
Install and uninstall any app at any time.
If you're worried about metadata bullshit when exporting, just screenshot your final image or something.

Short answer - theoretically yes. There is data in a PSD or TIFF file which indicates that your copy of Photoshop is either trial or cracked. Its in the metadata, not the actual image.

However - Adobe do not actively go out looking for people who pirate their software - primarily because piracy is, for them, a form of free advertising for their product; but also because prosecuting tens of thousands of people, primarily teenagers, is more effort and money than its worth to them. It would also make Adobe look even more evil.

But also: How often do you think clients will either be looking for that data, or, even if they're aware of it, actually lose the opportunity to use your work by actually mentioning it?
Very rare. And if you're printing your work or using Jpeg then it literally cant be detected.
