Architecture is all about lines and shapes. All photography is, but architecture even more than nature. Focus thus on lines and shapes that complement each other in a cool way. Just like your pic.

Don't take pictures of buildings. Create images *with* buildings. My fav architecture photos looks basically like abstract art.

They're not gallery level photos but they do get some principles across. Just try to create interesting images using the lines and shapes of a building. Keep an open mind, and try not to just point your camera at a building and click the shutter. You don't want people to be able to Google the building you took a pic of and have 20 similar images show up.

Look for symmetry, leading lines, contrasting form, play with perspective, fill the frame, less is sometimes more, look for repetition, motifs, patterns, and shoot what you like.
