You'll understand when you grow out of the bokeh phase, for most people that's around the 5th year of shooting. For you? Probably 10th, you have an exceptionally poor eye for small details.
Keep shooting though, and you will eventually overcome your burdened vision. Anyone can be a photographer, Anon, even you!
