I do not pay the models, and we either split the cost of a studio, or studio is paid by the model. I have never paid a model, and would only do so if she has a big following which could help me promote work. Has not happened yet.
My work is miles away both technically and creatively from where I would like to be, and I am aiming to eventually do commercial work. Can't get there without practice.
