But they 'were' the best in terms of technicals: Autofocus, eye detect, etc.
However, the other camera companies seem to have caught up to them, even Fuji's new system firmware fixed the light-stepping issue which was my main issue about going Sony versus Fuji.
For Canon/Nikon, their cameras look top class too, with robust features. Quite honestly, since all the companies basically caught up to eachother, I'd say ergonomics plays a larger part since no matter what camera brand you get (if a new model) you're getting top class specs.
I just love cameras. All of them. I wish I had them all.
