>>3712000>>3712003Well its good to know at least some folks out there interested in some simple snapshittery. Sometimes it feels like people here aren't a fan of capturing beauty. Like the photography game feels very un-zen and super forced. Like people want a certain photo to be a certain way and will go out of their way to seek/create it. I'm not using this as a cop out bc i still experiment with technique and lighting but mostly i just like enjoying the treasure hunt of capturing the beauty that people often miss.
One of my more favorite photos lately was a really simple shot last week of just some comfy light on art supplies. The light was only there for seconds bc the sun was setting and it was passing through a tiny slit in the stairs. I haven't seen the light hit that spot the same way since. It's a basic bitch photo but i like it.
I get why portrait, wedding, product, and thise kind of photography exists, but for me it's more of a meditation than anything. And i like to share the treasure i find with everyone else. Sure its just a bag of oranges on the ground, but i like it. The light formed a v with the curb and i thought it was comfy. I have gallery level shots come through here and there, but desu im only proud of them from an externall perspective. Like they aren't the photos that makes my heart sing.
Lots of chefs' favorite food to cook is super simple dishes that can be thrown together in minutes. They rarely ever cook elaborate technically advanced meals for their own enjoyment. That should say something.
Posted is another example i haven't shown here before. Its simple but its comfy and i like it. It aint going up on a wall anywhere but it srill has worth to me.
