what are u thinking about that grainy edit photography? I've been doing something like this for a while. I think it's like a lofi.

looks fine, if you like grain, you could try shooting film tho. nothing beats real grain.

I don't like it honestly, especially not in the shadows.
The whole lifted blacks aesthetic doesn't work & it makes the grains even more weird deepfried image-y

I've posted this image tons of times. I think the noise from pushing the tiny CCD too far actually produces a very nice noise structure that adds to the image.

It looks like lomography. I don't like it. The grain is too coarse. Fine grain in a tack sharp image is alright.

images like that need extra work if you wish to go for grain look. highlights 'spill' on film, so you need to manipulate that on digital image.

i already posted these the /fgt/ but you might enjoy them OP. I think grain is at its best when it's very fine and used to complement light/colour graduations like the background in this shot >>3710143.

Clip the blacks, add grain. It's cliche look I don't really enjoy in my photos but at one point or another everyone will have a phase for such style, just like taking all the photos in f/1.8.

This noise looks pleasing to me. OPs just looks distracting. Sry OP.

OP if you want noise just underexpose and boost, or bump ISO, but when you cliplift blacks and add white noise uniform across the spectrum it doesn't look great.
