So /p/, you all know that Instagram is hot garbage, especially as a photography medium, so how would you make a social media site that is more photography related? The way I see it there area few big problems:

Instagram is more about self promotion than photography. This is mainly down to normies wanting to follow their favourite e-celebs and thots. How to solve? Maybe don't make an app, or if you do, make it browse only so you have to use a computer to upload?

Also not using some shitty algorithm to determine what you see might help, just make it chronological

How do you fund the thing? Nobody likes advertising, but nobody wants to pay in any other way either. Someone has to pay to store all those photos and deal with traffic.

Or do you make it decentralised? So people submit their own blogs or other photo sites and then you just continually scrape them and have some kind of centralised tagging system to help people find new stuff?
