>>3721145Perhaps I've put a bit too much faith in focus peaking and was looking at that rather than the subject - I'll try with it disabled tomorrow I just find it hard to make out the small detail on the viewfinder
And not had much luck with magnifier when handholding, it zooms in way too far to be useful on my camera and there doesnt seem to be a way to adjust the factor unfortunately
>>3721089Thanks, I'd read a little on focus stacking and sounds interesting but seems it requires a tripod or incredibly steady hands which I don't yet have, would definitely like to try it though
>>3721159Camera shake seems my main issue, I was using a 65mm lens that was okay to hold but had to get so close to bugs they'd usually fly off, now borrowing a 110mm lens and I can stand a good bit further back but it's a lot heavier/longer, wondering if a little monopod would be worth trying out, I'm hesistant to get a full tripod as I like being somewhat mobile
Also aware of lens/camera bodies with built in stabilisation, does that make much of a difference for handheld macro?
