They are also the only camera company that makes screens (for both the back and the evf), the only company that uses processors they make themselves, the only company that makes storage cards, the only company that makes its own batteries.
This is why Sony aren't only winning now, but will never be beaten, the front to back design using all custom parts allows them the best performance, the best battery life and all at a price no one else can really compete with - even canon lost 90% of their profits in the last year trying to go head to head with Sony. And whilst Sony do make their own lenses, they appreciate the expertise of 3rd parties and are the only company with an open mount format to encourage 3rd parties to create lenses for all budgets and needs; they are incredibly pro consumer.
Samsung are the only company with any real chance of outdoing Sony, and they gave up years ago.
>>3714385Lol, no, they have 4 very different full frame sensors. One for 4k video, one for ultra high resolution, one for the best burst and af, and a jack of all trades affordable version. No other company had that level of specialisation.
