Other than that its pretty good for a budget/starter scanner, mine got pissed on by my cat, the urine got under the scanbed and it was matter of minutes to take it apart and clean, so thats another plus i guess?
I use vuescan, got the license from a friend who got rid of all film related stuff so i cant tell you how much it costs.

And i know about the composition, the vertical lines are off to the left, i see MUCH room for improvment. I wanted to go wider but 50mm is the widest on the system and there was a fucking wall in the way. My concept was like youre saying- a wide shot of a room with a little pale girl in lower center. Guess ill need to do it again! Oh well!
