Buying new cameras is annoying bc you have to relearn shit. And they almost never do anything new than the previous model. Would rather just get gud at the one i got til it dies.

You're bored to take the same shit around your place with the same shit that you've done it before already a thousand times. It's interesting to either change place or gear that you shoot (with). So there's purpose again but not necessarily great photos. Great photos have other purposes as their basis.

I dunno about all the ‘hur dur gearfag’ stuff, I enjoy taking pictures but I admit fully to also enjoying the gear side of it. Tech is fun for me in general, I don’t ‘need’ new phones, computers or cars either... I enjoy using good tech, not about to feel bad about it. If new tech ads to the pleasure of my hobby I don’t have an issue with that (pets R5)
