>>3720839I'm just going to tell it to you straight anon. it's a shit shot. not even the guy complaining about your settings.
I'll give you a tip so you can get off shooting at 1/1600. (which is insanely fast btw. that's the kinda speed I shoot birds in flight at.), people walking/sprinting whatever, 1/500 is already going to freeze that pretty well. and you can keep it even lower and track your subject, it's going to give you a nice motion blur effect with the subject staying relatively sharp.
f/18 is really retarded. specially since your iso is at 1600. you have NO excuses for shooting at an ISO this high during the day. you should always keep your iso as low as possible since it increases dynamic range. when you're shooting this fast with an aperture this small. the only thing you're doing is decreasing your SNR hence why your shot looks so muddy. you gotta let more light in.
the good news is, you can learn. it's fine, everyone takes shit shots. I know mine are more often than not. so next time you go out try this.
go and shoot full manual, you don't have to do it all the time, but try it. you'll really get a feel for your settings. and what situation requires what. instead of wanting to be able to put your camera up to your eye quickly, slow down, look around. Try to anticipate what's going to happen next. Frame your shot before the moment even happens.
Hope this comes out as me trying to be helpful.
