>>3723793Lmao, these quad bayer sensor phones for some reason dont usually let you take full MP count in raw, only jpeg, unless the Huawei is different. In RAW they set the sensor to the down scale mode for 1/4 res, so 12mp.
In JPEG when high res is enabled they do really resolve the full detail but the major issue is a few things, aggressive multipass noise reduction smears all the detail away from low contrast stuff.
I tested mine outside, some stuff is lost like sidewalks, road etc, become totally smooth with worm like artefacts from edge enhancement, the software thinks fine texture detail is noise and gets rid of it, only high contrast detail remains.
Then edge enhancement is applied too.
Even if you can turn that shit off, its going to be noisy at ISO100, like ISO3200 on a regular camera. At least the detail would be there, and you could stack it out though.
It might be more convenient to carry around then a dSLR but it cant match a dSLR output, with the sole exception if you can turn post processing off (noise reduction and edge enhancement) and stack a whole bunch of images.
