Run of the mill action thriller with pretty good cinematography. Cold warm chiaroscuro, almost exclusively left to right leading lines, and some nice zoom scenes.

ok, so I realized I still had the 4:3 (1.33) laserdisc (yes, laserdisc) so I was curious what the difference was so I made some crappy cell phone shots of the 4:3 frame corresponding to OP's 16:9 shots. Did the widescreen butcher Kubrick's "original" or is it no big deal?

And finally Sweet Virginia. The photography is great but it relies a lot on camera movement, so you only appreciate it fully when you watch it.
The best for me was one long shot in which the protagonist is driving, framed in the rear view mirror, then he opens the door and when he closes it the camera remains still and you see all the action in the mirror.
