What's their "best" the high resolution of the a7riv or the super fast readout of the a7siii? They both push the absolute limit of data throughput within what they are designed to do. The high resolution sensor simply can't send data fast enough for raw video output, but some people want higher resolution for their stills. The A9 was a testbed for their new stacked sensor designs which paved the way for the a7siii.
Stacked sensors massively reduce the amount of succesful wafers, as each layer of the stack needs to be perfect. Even the best chip foundries supplying AMD/qualcomm/Intel etc only get around 90% success on single wafers with MUCH smaller dies.
Your ignorance is palpable.
