Do you still use back button focus?
I have a nikon dslr that I exclusively used back button focus ever since I found out about it and it feels completely natural on that camera.
When I bought a fuji mirrorless, I thought I would set it up the same way. But after a few months I found that I preferred going back to just letting the shutter control autofocus. I never have to recompose since there's like 500 autofocus points that cover 99% of the screen. Things like eye/face tracking make it so I don't even have to move the focus point at all and it's just about clicking the shutter rather than fiddling around with the back of the camera.
