hi /p/ i bought this black magic camera to start building experience with shooting "movies" but i dont know where to start. do you guys have any personal favorite youtubers or blogs that provide any exercises or just ways to practice?

He's 'passionate about making films' but has never shot anything before. He's way over his head and has no idea wtf to do with anything and keeps asking me the most simple questions.

Learn to use google retard, if you can't figure out the most basic shit yourself then you don't deserve to have the camera. Good job wasting your money.

I follow wolfcrow and poneysmasher on yt. I have got pretty good advice from them.

Also make film. Hire a friend and go shooting. If you want to setup your camera, start with that.
>Iso 400, f3.5 or 2.8, shutter speed 1/50s and fps 25, manual focus all the time. The rest is light setup, good actors and story.

Now go and learn from experience. You got a lot of job to do. Start small, like 3-5 minutes short.

Where should the advice begin?
