>>3747115That depends a lot on what I plan on doing.
Like, at night I mainly use my 18-55 IS and fast primes like my 35 mm f/2 since my entry level body doesn't like high ISO and in realy dark enviroments the autofocus doesn't work.
My rather steady hands and training allow me to violate the (equivalent) focal length = shutterspeed rule by a few stops, but there's a limit to what I can do and many scenes just have way too much movement.
35 mm on a 1,6x crop at 1/20 is something I can safely do, so I often use auto ISO at 1/20 second f/2.0 for a lot of stuff.
1/15 second is a little risky and 1/10 is the danger zone, allthough with IS I often use shutterspeeds from 1/10 second up to 1/2 second.
Ususaly I also pack in a tripod, flash and a flashlight as well since I can't do everything handheld with ambient light.
If I plan on taking videos, I may pack my video light as well.
When shooting at daylight, I usualy bring filters and my 28-200 instead of tripod or video lights.
