>>3753163>You came here ask us about our opinion or evangelize us how a6400 is great?I came here to ask, but MFT is a huge board meme with its own set of shills who are likely compensating for their buyer's remorse.
I was hyped about the X-T3 until I found out about the time limit and overheating issues. My friend explicitly asked me to find something without a limit after I mentioned that the Canons can film up to 30 minutes in one go (I think Magic Lantern can get around that by automatically restarting the recording though, but I'm not sure if the cut is noticeable).
If it were me buying at that price point, I'd get an used Canon 5D Mark III and use vintage glass with adapters.
He wants a warranty and I guess he also wants to avoid the other things that come with using FF.
I actually hate Sony and think their design is atrocious and I hate mirrorless cameras in general, but for what he wants it it seems to be the best option. I'm putting my personal preferences aside. I'm actually waiting for a mint 5D2 I bought a couple days ago to arrive and I'll probably film some stuff in HD. I don't mind the 30 minute limit myself, it will be artistic stuff, not interviews or game videos or anything like that. And filming for shorter intervals helps keep the sensor healthy. There is one project I'm worried about which involves night driving before dawn for about 130 miles. I had planned to do a continuous take but I guess I'll have to find an alternative (probably renting a camera).

>I don't think anyone has the balls to strap a 2k camera on one lolkek, it's probably people for whom it's pocket change
>>3753175lmao that looks like shit indeed
but the 4K I've seen looks pretty and let's face it, if you want to project your stuff 4K is ideal
1080p is passable (more or less equivalent to 16mm film in resolution), but 4K is when it gets really good.
But yeah, that 1080p on the Sony looks like shit.
