The GH5 is $1400, the Sony is $900.
And before I recommend a $1400 GH5 for video I'd recommend a $1300 BMPCC4K.
I was asked for a Super 35 equivalent sensor. MFT isn't it.
>how great suny isDid you miss everything I said about my problems with it?
Shit ergonomics, flimsy construction, stupid design forces you to pick either putting the screen out or using the hotshoe (or using a stupid bracket that would only have made sense in the era of potato mashers), limited screen movement.
>no IBISThat's a question of budget again. The a6600 is the same price as the GH5 and has IBIS. But it won't be of any use in the rig that will be used, with a gimbal.
You could have mentioned a MAJOR FLAW the Sony has where the GH5 absolutely destroys it but you failed to do it: noticeable rolling shutter. The GH5's shutter is smooth as butter in comparison. The rolling shutter is specially problematic if you want to stabilize footage in post.
But none of that concerns the specific application at hand. Everything is a tradeoff with a budget so tight and the Sony offers the best for THIS SPECIFIC APPLICATION.
Here is what I was asked to find:
>super35/APS-C>4K>no record limits>brand newIf I weren't asking for a friend I wouldn't mind a 30 minute limit, 1080p or buying used. And would mind the APS-C sensor and the EVF. For that money I would buy a 5D Mark III. Fuck mirrorless and fuck Sony.
