Still, it's a very reductionist perspective. Yes, it seems likely (or at least intuitive) that our qualia is an emergent property of our brains, or more precisely, of activity inside our brains. Now this activity however, is greatly influenced by many things outside of brain, and mostly by things as close to it as the rest of the body. Hormonal activity within the rest of your body can influence your brain on any level, including how aggressive you are, how overwhelming thought of hunger is, even what sort of bodytype and personality you are attracted to at the very moment. Were you to actually separate your brain from rest of your body, it might not really be you anymore, if we consider you to be emergent property of your brains activity. It never boils down to "just something", everything interacts, and it's interaction that defines things in the physical realm.
