So if I use the Develop Presets, it applies stuff. It also says Profile Missing in the top of the right-hand develop panel for some reason. It's also got a bunch of Camera Profiles, but none for my camera, so I didn't use those. But then there are Curves presets, too, that are .xmp files instead of .lrtemplate files; which should I be using? Both? Neither?
I applied some presets but I feel like they're not remotely as good as Fuji's in-camera sims. Fuji's sims are more about subtle tweaks to color rendering and shifting colors around. These seem to apply major changes to contrast, either significantly increasing or decreasing it, and apply major changes to saturation, again significantly increasing or decreasing it. It looks overbaked and unrealistic, and most of them don't give me a "this could pass for film" vibe. I'm not convinced.
What are some of your favorites? Maybe I'm skipping some good ones.
