However it's an older model, launched back in 2016 so buying new might not be the best idea as there should be ones on the used market for way less money.
Contrary to popular opinion the 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 IS II is acceptable, bundle it with a cheap 3rd party 35mm f/2 or a 50mm f/1.8 and you can get a lot out of that camera.
At least my copy of the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II does a decent job.
Especialy the image stabilisation realy helps in low light conditions and allows for far longer exposure times, wich means you don't need an ISO that high.
Yea, it's cheap, plasticy and not the sharpest lens, but it does the job.
