Overall, spend more time considering the entire frame and not just the subject. Also, people hate on just the borders as if that's the problem here. It's not. The problem is that the borders come across as an attempt to add aesthetic value when the photos they surround are just not good. The haters are fixating on the wrong thing entirely, and dialogue suffers because they're too caught up in meaningless stuff
