Take 2 second exposures max, , take many of them, manually shift the tripod every 5 shots to keep the same stars in the shot. stack the images at home. Take a bunch of 2 second exposures of a foreground, DON'T rotate the camera this time, subtract foreground from background, put foreground on the stacked images (as that can obviously not have a foreground as you are changing what is in the frame every 5 shots)
If you have patience, a pair of 7x50 binos and are willing to take 500+ of such shots you can actually get some decent pics of DSOs like andromeda. which is honestly quite impressive considering you will have done it with an iphone and a pair of binos
