Having started with film a year ago, I've always been a fairly laissez-faire photographer in the sense of accepting the imperfections of a scene, as my shots were limited and things can "just happen".
I've recently switched to digital for cost reasons, and despite my best efforts not to, I find myself really slipping into the perfectionist pixel-peeping mindset since I can *technically* just shoot the same scene 500 times until I get what I want. I've always found this to be really lazy and bad for my growth/discipline as a photographer, but it's just too easy to snap 10 photos of the same lame scene without even realizing it.
I try to block it out, but I also feel like my audience was so much more accepting of my imperfect photos when it was on film because of its inherent novelty and a e s t h e t i c.
Anyone have any similar experiences in making the switch? Anyone maybe have any tips to help combat this feeling and insecurity?
