>>3781442It's kinda hard to explain, but I think it would help to have general art schooling, because it's like recognizing elements of a good painting in the world around you. I don't know what the "rhythm" of that photo is, but the colors are nice. Warm and cool colors alway go well together, and the light helps guide your eye to the subject of the photo by illuminating it. The human elements are warm, and the machine and natural elements are cool colored. The hand is emerging from offscreen, so it's impossible to tell who it belongs to, so it becomes the abstract idea of a hand, you could imagine it's your hand. The muted colors and idea of having a drink are relaxing - there's nothing challenging or uncomfortable about the photo.
The more a critic describes a photo, the more masturbatory it sounds t b h, but basically if a photo looks nice, and it's interesting, and doesn't have any distracting elements in it that you wish weren't there, it's a good photo. You sound like you just aren't familiar with the theories and artistic "rules" that correspond with achieving a nice photo. And that's fine, a person can enjoy and recognize nice photos without needing to express why.
But if you're interested in learning more, look up "visual design elements and principles" or just art in general.
